Welcome to Sheringham & Beeston Regis Sea Scout Group

We are a 'family' Scout Group located on the North Norfolk coast offering scouting to young people within the local communities of Sheringham, Beeston Regis, and the surrounding areas. Boys and girls can join our Beaver section from 5 years 9 months, and progress through the Cub Pack into our Sea Scout Troop. At 14 years members become Explorer Scouts managed by the Scout District. Some also choose to be Young leaders offering valuable support to the sections of the Group, assisting with programme planning, meetings, outdoor activities, and supplementing an adult leader team of almost twenty members.

Meetings are held at the Group HQ situated in De Morley Garth in the centre of Sheringham. The purpose built facility has recently undergone major refurbishment.

We actively encourage family support, and welcome the offer of help from all adults either assisting with meetings, supporting the management and administration of the Group, or engaging in valuable fundraising to finance new equipment and fund programmes and activities. All adults are required to undertake an enhanced DB clearance. There is no cost to the individual or the Scout Group. Appropriate industry recognised training is offered free of charge and can greatly enhance an individuals personal CV.

As a voluntary charity, none of our adult members are paid, although they are reimbursed for out of pocket expenses related to their Group role.
